My name is Willow (like the tree, the Japanese word for which is 'yanagi'). I'm from the U.K., and currently live in Denmark. I've also briefly worked in Japan, and have studied Japanese for more than a decade. I'm slowly studying Danish, too, but I find it a lot harder than Japanese.
I do freelance writing for a living, but I also like to write in my free time — largely about the games, books, and shows I consume (and I consume quite a lot). I don't necessarily have anything interesting to say; it's just that writing my 'kansou' down is always what I feel like doing after finishing a show or a story.
These writings were just a normal paper notebook until recently, but since I'm an online writer and I've been dabbling in computery things lately, I thought I'd try to make a site instead.
I tried modelling it after macOS System 6, but I've found that OLED monitors do not render the cool 1-bit patterns I've used, and tend to show everything as just black or white. So, this site definitely looks best on my Macbook display. Oh well, I guess! Next, I plan to turn my work portfolio into a handmade site.
